Dr. Jeyaraj D A. has around 18 years of experience as Medicinal Chemist & Drug Discovery. He has worked on Bacterial, Viral, Metabolic disorder, CNS and Oncology therapeutic areas. He has delivered two clinical candidates (phase 1 clinical trial in cancer) and multiple preclinical candidates across different therapeutic areas. Has involved in new target selection, setting up TPP, lead & preclinical criteria and has strong experience in pre-clinical Drug discovery. He is responsible for planning, controlling and executing drug discovery projects. He is expertise in finding hits through substrate, pharmacophore and structure based approaches. He has handled many HTS hits – Hit to Lead and Lead optimization (both target based and cellular approaches).
He started his career with Semaia Pharmaceuticals, Germany as a Principal Scientist. Later he was associated with Novartis Institute for Tropical Diseases (NITD), Singapore as a Research Investigator. Post this he joined Experimental Therapeutic Centre (ETC), Singapore as a Senior Research Scientist. Before joining us, he was associated with GVK Biosciences as a Director for Drug Discovery Research.
Dr. Jeyaraj D A. was awarded PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. His Post-doctoral research work was carried out in Max-Planck Institute für molekulare Physiologie (MPI), Germany Post this, he had another Post-Doctoral research work at Tohoku University, Japan. He has 19 PCTs and 36 International publications to his credit apart from Abstracts and Posters. He was awarded Alexander von Humboldt (AVH) Fellow from Germany.
