Dr. Christoph Pittius, VP - Global Business Development

Dr. Christoph Pittius is a molecular biologist turned Licensing professional, with more than fourteen years of rich experience in the areas of Strategic Planning, global in-licensing and Business Development at the global level. During his association with major pharmaceuticals, world-wide, he spear-headed highly successful strategic business initiatives in collaborations and research outsourcing business models. Prior to joining us, Dr. Pittius, was holding the position of Executive Director, Discovery Alliances at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, where he was heading the Discovery Alliances program and was instrumental in major collaboration initiatives at the global level. Previously, he was in Investment Banking and associated with Aventis Pharma (initially as Hoechst) for more than a decade where he was responsible globally for the identification and prioritization of potential Enabling Technology alliances (R&D collaborations, joint ventures, acquisitions) with biotechnology companies. Dr. Pittius holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Hannover, Max-Planck Institute of Psychiatry, Germany. Subsequently he did his Post-Doc at the NIDDK, NIH, Bethesda, USA.

At Jubilant, Dr. Pittius is responsible for building the BD organisation across geographies and provides strategic leadership to business needs for Jubilant Biosys & Chemsys. He holds the position of Vice President Global Business Development and is based out of the US.
